Splitting
You send forty pages and mean two
The other side reads everything or nothing. A shorter file gets read straight away.
Split the documentThe needed pages remain
Splitting has two meanings and it helps to know which you want. One is cutting the document into parts: one file becomes several. The other is extracting chosen pages into a new file while the original stays untouched.
When to cut
When the document really is separate things: a report and its attachments, three invoices in one scan, minutes with an addendum. Each part starts a life of its own.
When to extract
When the whole makes sense but somebody needs a fragment. Two pages of figures for the accountant, the price list alone for the client, only the addendum for the lawyer.
Page numbers after splitting
The new file begins at page one, even if it was page twenty in the original. If the numbering has to match the conversation, add it again to the resulting part.
How it works
- Merges, splits, rotates and reorders pages, and deletes or extracts the ones you pick
- Runs the page tools entirely in your browser: those files are never uploaded
Splitting belongs to the browser tools: the document is not sent anywhere, so there is nothing to delete an hour later.
Before you start
- Let you download the result without a subscription — running the tool is open to everyone, the download is not
- Offer a free plan — there is an intro week, then the monthly or annual price
